How would I turn a jeweled brooch into a hair barrette?
I would like to take an old vintage jeweled brooch/ pin and turn it into a hair barrette. I would just like to know how to remove the metal pin part of the brooch and secure the jeweled piece on to the metal barrette. Also where can I find the clip together barrettes that I need? Beading store? Any advice would sure help- thanks 
Answer:
Use wire cutters or pliers to remove the clasp. If you have a Dremmel, smooth the area off. A beading store or an arts and crafts store should have the barrette backing you need.
