Creating a View with No Windows
A property with a view has been a selling point for many years. While you may have located a home in a great location, there is only one problem. A view, seems to be what it is missing. Even with windows, if they are small or covered by something ugly, you can begin to get a feeling of being cut off from the world. Having a great view connects you to the world outside making your room feel more open. There are ways that you can counter the effects of having no view in a room. With the right contemporary wall candle sconces and large wall hanging for your wall, you will hardly notice that blinking neon sign lurking outside.
Mirrors Reflect Nicely on the Design
Using mirrors to support a room that has very little natural lighting is a wonderful place to start. Wall mirrors have the impression of depth and bring dimension to your room. You can also use wall mirrors to build the illusion of having windows in the space by hanging and framing them. By adjoining the ends and sides, you will create the illusion of a real window with four solitary panes. You can become even more creative by supplying window hardware to the display, as well as a curtain rod and window treatment, or just by hanging a fabric valance above the top. Adding an identical display to the opposite wall can make the room feel like it is visually spacious. The mirrors will actually bounce light around the room giving it the sense of being expansive. The mirror windows will pretty likely make the room feel so comfortable that, unless you mention it, people will not even notice that the room has no windows. You can create just about the same effect with a cluster of hexagon-shaped mirrors, however you would want to skip the window treatments with this type of display. This type of mirror grouping will work well in smaller bathrooms to add much-needed depth and dimension.
Adding Wall Dimension with Metal Wall Plaques
Metal wall hangings can also work to add to the illusion of light and thus, space, and this is particularly true of unique metal wall plaques that are embellished with mirrors. You can also create an always-changing piece of art with small mirrors that are displayed on a metal wall art hanging. Adding lightness to a windowless room using mirrored metal sculptures and mirrored wall art helps to expand up the walls in a room with limited light.
Bringing Paintings to a Room Can Create a Room with a View
Hanging a scenic painting on the wall is a wonderful way to create a view where there is none. The advantage of having no window at all is that you can create whatever view you prefer with a painting. There are many paintings out there that you can use in your room without a window to make it feel more spacious and light and give it a great view.
When there is no Window Think About a Mural
If you have a tiny room with no windows, you can add a little perspective on the wall with a wall painting and make your room feel larger. You can select a full wall mural, half wall mural, or customized sizes in a variety of different scenes to enjoy. The only thing that limits your room's design is your own mind, because you can find a mural to work in any shape and size. If you are an artist, you could also dedicate a wall in your room without a view to designing your own wall mural for a truly one of a kind look.
