What's the Most Common Ring Size for Women?
Rings have been fitted out formally as wedding rings since 1477. Wedding rings did not become popular until World War II for men. They were mementos for the soldiers. The engagement rings are worn on the right hand usually by both. The woman's ring size is usually smaller and thinner than a man's. Rings can be purchased in chain jewelry along with chains quite often.

• If you can get possession of a ring that already fits the recipient's third finger, do so. Then compare the ring to the printable ring sizer, you can accurately determine the correct ring size.
• Often women will have tried on each other's jewelry, or a parent will have purchased a ring in the past. So check with a parent or close friend or neighbours.
• Ask similar sized fingers friend for the size of their ring. This may not be exact, but it will allow you to purchase a ring that fits reasonably well and is easily resized after the proposal.
• If your intended is a heavy sleeper, wrap a string around their third finger and pinch the point where the ends meet. Compare that measurement to the size scale in the printable ring sizer.
• If all else fails, simply choose the size of ring that looks closest from the printable ring sizer. The most common ring size for a woman is between 5 and 7 whereas for men it ranges between 10 and 11. Most women can easily accommodate a ring within a half size of their true ring size.
• Measure you finger at the end of the day. A cold finger may vary in size than appropriate. It becomes smaller when compared with the warmer climate. Then cut a thin piece of paper to 3/4 inches wide by 3 inches long. Wrap the piece of paper around the base of your finger. Place a mark on the paper where it meets around the finger. Place the cut end of the paper above the zero on the ruler. Measure the paper up to the marked point to the nearest 16th of an inch. Write down the measurement on the piece of paper. Convert inches to ring size: if your strip of paper measured your finger at 1 13/16 inches, you are a ring size 4; 1 7/8 inches is a 4.5; 1 15/16 inches is a size 5; 2 inches is a 5.5; 2 1/16 inches is a size 6; 2 1/8 inches is a 6.5; 2 3/16 inches is a size 7; 2 1/4 inches is a 7.5; 2 5/16 inches is a size 8; 2 3/8 inches is a size 8.5; 2 7/16 inches is a size 9; 2 1/2 inches is a 9.5; 2 9/16 inches is a size 10; 2 5/8 inches is a 10.5; 2 11/16 inches is a size 11; 2 3/4 inches is a size 11.5; 2 13/16 inches is a size 12; 2 7/8 inches is a 12.5; and 2 15/16 inches is a size 13.
• You can also get a ring sizer from the mall or can download one off the internet and use one of her rings to size it.
In the United Kingdom, ring sizes are determined using an alphabetic system, from letter A to Z and numeric ring size system from 1-13. Other European countries use a number system like the United States, but they use millimeters from 38 to 70.The ring size can change at any time due to weight loss or if she is still growing.
