I'm looking for a teardrop ruby stone real!!!!!?
I'm looking for a real ruby stone (preferred to be in the shape as a teardrop or pear) to make a pendant. Where can i find one. I'd like it to be at least 2x2 in centimetres.

You can look on ebay. It's hard to be 100% certain if the rubies are genuine, but usually if the seller has a good rating, you can trust that the gems are real. I've attached an example of a ruby that is 2 cm x 1.7 cm.

Buying sapphire, emerald and ruby pendants
Sapphire, emerald and ruby pendants are very precious and like any other valuable piece of jewelry; one has to be very careful while buying, cleaning and taking care of them. Here are some tips that can help:
Buying the pendants
• As soon you have the sapphire, emerald or ruby pendants in your hands, one thing should be asked, whether the gemstone has been treated or not. It is very important.
• It is important to check the color also. The gemstone used in every pendant should have a pure color that is associated with it. If the gemstones used in the pendants do not have the right colors they are actually of a lesser quality.
• Also, check the gemstones for any types of inclusions. Try and find a gemstone with fewer inclusions as the higher amount of inclusions can affect the gemstone's appearance, adversely.
• Also check out the cut that the gemstones boast of. The cut causes the overall price of the emerald to rise or fall. A good cut will always have proportionate facets.
• You also need to zero in on the place of origin of the stones used in the pendants.
Cleaning the pendants
