How to get beautiful Purple Hair
Purple hair definitely makes a bold style statement, although it might not be the best shade for the workplace. Try out a crazy and outrageous hair color like purple hair and transform your look. Try on a rocker or Goth style with different hairstyles and purple hair colors, spike up your hair or try a Mohawk in this makeover game.
Emos usually dye hair dark-black and perhaps highlight the tips of hair with purple or blue. The hair might be colored entirely or in parts. Nevertheless coloring hair blue or purple in parts is more than popular. It might be colored in layers or just the tips can be covered. Some other favorite styles are highlighting tips, bangs or layers.
Here are some basic steps to find out how to get that perfect violet hue –
Part your hair so that all the hair two inches above your ears all around your head is in one ponytail. You could either do it yourself or take your friend’s help. All the hair that is on the crown of your head should be in this ponytail.
- Make another ponytail with the hair that is below the top of the ear or the hair on the bottom is pulled back in the back with one ponytail.
- You need to undo the top ponytail if you are dying your hair purple. Part your hair so that on the sides of your head you have a two inch “box” of hair at each tendril. So, now you should have four ponytails if you are dying your hair. The top section of your head is one ponytail and you will dye that platinum blonde.
- Dye your hair on the bottom jet black. Make sure you have a friend do this for you. Use an old towel to avoid messing up good towels with black hair dye. Make sure you condition, rinse and blow dry the hair when it is done.
- Dye your hair Platinum Blonde on the top. Make sure you have a friend do this for you. Make sure you condition, rinse and blow dry the hair when it is done. Make sure you avoid the two “boxes” of hair that you will later dye purple. You may want to braid that hair and then wrap that hair with gauze or a paper towel to keep if from soaking up the blonde dye.
- Unbraid and dye your hair purple on the sides according to the instructions on the bottle. Make sure you have a friend do this for you. Use an old towel to avoid messing up good towels with purple hair dye. Make sure you condition, rinse and blow dry the hair when it is done.
Things to be kept in mind before going for purple hair color:
1. Attending a family occasion or a job interview round the corner, that wacky purple hair is a big NO for you. Do you agree??? If yes then think twice if there is a family wedding or a serious job interview looming in your future, this may not be the best time to whip out the purple hair dye. Even if you use a temporary color that is supposed to wash out, there is a chance your hair will have a purple cast to it for quite some time.
1. Be ready to be stared at! After getting purple hair color, be ready to be centre of attraction wherever you will go. If you think it would be annoying to be constantly referred to as, “The one with the purple hair,” then re-think whether to dye or not.
2. Purple hair dyes, and all other intense colors, bleed. So there are fair amount of chances that you will dye parts of your skin, some clothing and some towels as well. The color will take some time to fade out from your skin. The towels and clothing used for few days will get permanent stains.
4. Do you have someone to help you? If you have decided you can handle all these issues and want to try purple hair dye, get a friend to help you. Trying to dye your hair yourself is a messy challenge.

When all the colors on your head have been dyed what you are going to do is to curl your hair using the normal products that you use when you use a curling iron. These products are different for each woman as some may use hair pomade, gel, or mousse on their hair.
The way that you are going to curl your hair is you are going to set your hair in long barrel curls on the curling iron. The hair is styled so that the top of the hair is straight but the ends of the hair are very curly in large spirals or barrel curls at the end of the hair. In this way the hair is flat on the top and straight and very curly on the bottom and it looks cute.
