Frequently Asked Questions...
How do I glue a Bakelite pin to the metal clasp?
I have a really cute apple juice Bakelite pin-- I'm at least 80% or 90% I identified it correctly, because I found it at a yard sale where it was sitting in the sun (warming test-- done). Anyway, the metal pinback has come off, and I need to reattach it. What would be the best glue. I've heard gorilla glue and cyanocrylate (superglue) mentioned. I've also heard a couple of epoxies mentioned.
What is the strongest, quickest, safest bond?
Thanks.
Answer:
if i was doing it i would put a dot of super glue to hold it in place and then a glob of epoxy to hold it there permanently...
