Did You Know...

... that the longest-living man's secret to longevity was the use of 2 rejuvenating herbs, ginseng and fo-ti, which deliver the "elixir of youth" effect?

Li Ching-Yun, resident of the Kaihslen region in the province of Szechwan, was a Chinese herbalist, martial artist and former university professor who had the longest confirmed lifespan in history.  He lived to be 256 years old (1677-1933).

According to one account of Li's married life, he outlived 23 wives and was living with his 24th wife -- a woman of 60 -- at the time he was over 200 years old.  A New York Times article published at the time of his death in 1933 reported, "Many who have seen him recently declared that his facial appearance is no different from that of a person two centuries his junior."  (S. Fred Strong, New York Times, May 6, 1933, p. 13)

According to the book, Nature's Medicines (Wilshire Book Company), "Li's longevity was due to his strictly vegetarian diet, his calm and serene attitude toward life and the fact that he used two powerful rejuvenating herbs prepared as teas."  One of the herbs was ginseng, and the other was fo-ti.

Ginseng is a sweet-smelling herb native to China, Russia, North Korea, Japan and some areas of North America.  The herb is usually referred to as panax ginseng (panax is the Greek word for panacea, which means "all healing").  Ginseng roots are also called Jin-chen, which means "like a man" because they resemble the shape of the human body.

Ginseng has been used as an all-around herbal remedy for more than 7,000 years, and it has had widespread use since the 18th century.  The herb has grown in popularity in recent years ever since scientific research studies showed ginseng's remarkable health-enhancing and anti-aging abilities.  While ginseng is generally thought to be an Asian herb, originally produced in China and Japan, American ginseng is now considered the most potent.  Grown primarily in Wisconsin, American Ginseng appears to offer the most powerful health benefits compared to other varieties.

Ginseng has been used successfully to treat a variety of medical conditions, such as:

● Memory Loss and Cognition problems -- boosts brain function, especially in older adults
● Diabetes -- contains active compounds that can help lower blood sugar naturally
● Anxiety and Depression -- contains important adaptogens, which helps the body handle stress more effectively, and help alleviate anxiety and depression
● Aging -- helps slow the signs of aging in most users
● Dysfunctional Immune System -- helps give your immune system a boost and strengthens your resistance to colds and flu, autoimmune diseases, etc.
● Menopause -- helps relieve hot flashes and balance hormone levels, especially in peri-menopausal and menopausal women
● Chronic Infection -- strengthens the immune system so that the body is better able to fight off infection
● Chronic Fatigue Syndrome -- enhances the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) in the cells, thereby supplying the body with  energy and relieving chronic fatigue and tiredness.

Because of its wide variety of healing properties, such as natural blood thinners and immune system stimulants, ginseng is frequently used to fight cancer, diabetes and cardiac disease.

Fo-ti, also called he shou wu or ho-shou-wu, is the dried tuberous root of the plant Polygonum multiflorum, an herbaceous climbing vine that is a native of Japan.  The plant has seen widespread use as a folk remedy in China and other Asian countries.  Fo-ti should not be confused with the herbal mixture that is marketed as Fo-ti-Tieng.  Fo-ti-Tieng is actually a registered trademark representing a product that combines 3 herbs (gotu kola from India, meadowsweet from Europe, and kola nut, an African herb, which has also be cultivated throughout the tropics).

Li Shizhen, was one of the greatest physicians and pharmacologists in Chinese history, whose major contribution to medicine was his 40-year work contained in his epic book, the Bencao Gang Mu ("Compendium of Materia Medica" - 1578).  In the book, he described ho-shou-wu, as follows:

The root of the 50-year-old plant is called "mountain slave:" taken for a year, it will preserve the black color of the hair.  The root of the 100-year-old plant is called "mountain brother:" taken for a year, it will bring a glowing complexion and a cheerful disposition.  The root of the 150-year-old plant is called "mountain uncle:" taken for a year, it will rejuvenate the teeth.  The root of the 200-year-old plant is called "mountain father:" taken for a year it will banish old age and give the power to run like a deer.  The root of the 300-year-old plant is called "mountain spirit:" taken for a year, one becomes an earthly immortal.

For over four centuries, ho-shou-wu has been regarded in China as a reliable safeguard against old age.  Fifty-year-old and 300-year-old wild ho-shou-wu plants are very rare these days, and the herb is presently cultivated and collected after 3 to 4 years growth.  Perhaps hou-shou-wu's claim to fame is that it maintains the hair's original color -- that is, it prevents premature graying and hair loss.  This is attributed, in part, to the herb's tonic effects on the kidneys and liver.  According to traditional Chinese medicine theory, the condition of hair (on the head) is governed by the kidneys and nourished by the blood in the liver.

Most fish oil supplements contain dangerous substances -- lawsuits filed!

News Flash:  A recent California lawsuit filed against 8 major distributors of fish oil pills has thrust the popular omega-3 supplement in the center of public scrutiny.  The lawsuit claims that there are high levels of the cancer-causing contaminant, PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) and other impurities found in some of the most popular over-the-counter fish oil supplements.  Among the 8 fish oil producers and retailers are Rite Aid, GNC and CVS.

We all know that fish oil supplements, which are rich in important omega-3 fats EPA and DHA, have long been praised for their supreme health-enhancing abilities.  That's because the omega-3 fatty acids from the tissue of oily fish -- such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, lake trout and sardines -- have been shown to deliver health benefits as follows (this is just a partial list):

● reducing the risk of breast, colon and prostate cancer;
● preventing heart attacks, strokes, coronary heart disease
and cardiovascular disease;
● promoting mental and behavioral health;
● preventing autoimmune disorders (such as lupus and
nephropathy);
● warding off depression, bipolar disorder and
schizophrenia;
● eliminating essential fatty acid deficiency in infants (which
affects retinal and brain development);
● reducing the symptoms and pain associated with arthritis
● increasing the life span of cells, which contributes to
anti-aging;
● reducing the risk of developing age-related macular
degeneration, a common cause of blindness in the elderly;
● preventing chronic inflammation, which is a leading cause
of most chronic illnesses.

As a result, millions of consumers all over the world have been flocking to health food stores and online retailers -- buying fish oil supplements.

Maybe you are someone who has begun taking a daily fish oil capsule to supplement your diet.  If so, you might want to rethink your fish oil consumption in light of recent reports showing that there are major reasons for concern.

ABC News recently reported that environmental activists checked 10 different fish oil supplements and found that all contained high levels of the contaminant, PCB (polychlorinated biphenyl) -- and 3 brands had much higher levels than allowed by law.

Additionally, contaminants such as dioxins, heavy metals, mercury and lead have been found to be strongly present in poorly processed fish oils -- and many fish oil manufacturers have been cited for high levels of oxidation, or rancidity -- which significantly reduces the efficacy of the omega-3s.

So how do you get the benefits of omega-3 fatty acids -- without exposing yourself to the dangerous, cancer-causing substances lurking in fish oil?

There's a new, little-known natural discovery that is now being regarded as the richest and healthiest source of omega-3s on earth.  The oil from krill (tiny, shrimp-like crustaceans), is 48 times more powerful than fish oil.  Best of all, when the oil is extracted from krill that comes from pristine waters, it is virtually free of PCBs, heavy metals, chemicals, toxins and pesticides.

When tested head-to-head against omega-3 fish oil, krill oil has been clinically proven to be ...

* 6 times more effective at reducing facial aging (reducing
wrinkles by up to 51%)
* 11 times more effective at lowering LDL "bad" cholesterol
(reducing LDL cholesterol by up to 55%)
* soothe the pain and discomfort of stiff joints by up to 29%
* boost your memory and mental focus by as much as 49%
* 48 times more effective at eliminating free radicals
* reduce harmful triglycerides by up to 27%
* raise high-density lipoprotein (HDL) "good" cholesterol by
as much as 43.92%
* reduce dangerous inflammation by as much as 29%
* decrease the physical and emotional effects of pre-menstrual
syndrome (PMS) by up to 47%!

Krill oil delivers exponentially more heart-saving ... brain-saving ... and life-saving health benefits than fish oil -- without the unpleasant fishy aftertaste or fishy burping.

However, buyers of krill oil -- beware!  Just as there are fish oils that are poorly processed, or fish oils that come from fish taken from contaminated waters -- the same applies to krill oil.  Commercially available krill oils are not all created equal.  The health benefits listed above can be realized only from krill oil that comes from the deep, pure waters of Antarctica -- an all-natural, renewable resource in one of the purest, toxin-free regions of the world around the North Pole.

To find out more about the most potent, most absorbable, and purest form of krill oil, which delivers clinically and scientifically proven omega-3 health benefits -- read the Natural Breakthroughs article titled The New Miracle "Heart-Saver and Brain Saver" That is 48 Times More Powerful Than Fish Oil at

A Word from Our Sponsor:
Why You Are Not Losing Belly Fat

Maybe you're one of the countless people who have tried (and failed) to lose excess weight -- and have had an even tougher time losing belly fat.

Here's why:  We all have a limited capacity for conscious self-control.

You can only maintain self-control for as long as no other acts of self-control are required of you.   According to a fascinating experiment published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, just one act of self-control depletes your ability to have self-control in another unrelated area.

For example, when subjects were told not to eat chocolates that were set right in front of them, their persistence in solving puzzles deteriorated.  When they were told to suppress an emotional reaction to a movie, they had problems solving a solvable anagram.  The list goes on and on.

Therefore, whenever you're required to exercise self-control in dealing with a difficult boss, for example (or any of thousands of stressors that you encounter everyday), you will not have self-control left over to stick to an eating plan or workout schedule.  Self-control is a limited resource.

This is why once you start having to occupy your mind with things that require discipline of any kind, it becomes almost impossible for you to stay away from the cookies, the burgers, the tacos, the beer, the chips, the soda and all the fattening foods.

Remember:  Whatever eating habits you have developed lie deep in your unconscious mind.  This dictates your ''default'' eating choices, and any attempts to change this programming by using ''will power'' are met with massive resistance.

And this is a battle you don't want to fight, because the unconscious mind always wins.

So if you want to get trim, you have to change your unconscious ''default'' eating choices.  It is the only real way to get results that last.

The only method that is validated by current science and mainstream organizations like The American Medical Association is called medical hypnosis.

Medical hypnosis creates unconscious changes that don't require will power.  Over 80 years of clinical research have demonstrated that with the aid of hypnosis, people are able to have control over their eating and fitness habits where they had none before.

At the University of Iowa, they are conducting studies involving Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) where you actually see the brain shutting off feelings of pain in the brain ... as a result of medical hypnosis.

If medical hypnosis can program your unconscious mind to block pain, it certainly can help you change your eating and fitness habits.

Medical hypnosis removes your reliance on self-control, which is the domain of the conscious mind.  By temporarily bypassing your conscious mind, medical hypnosis gives you the power to make behavioral changes at a deeper level than when you attempt to make changes strictly with your conscious mind.

But make sure you get the real thing.  You don't want help from a ''stage hypnotist''.  Rather, you want to find someone with a proven clinical track record.  And finding somebody with a proven track record for weight loss is extremely difficult.

This is why it is sometimes better to find a home-use program.   And the program with the best track record in the industry was created by Dr. Roberta Temes (author of a hypnosis textbook used in medical schools).  This is the exact same program Dr. Temes uses with celebrities and other VIP New York clients that allow them to effortlessly make the right eating and exercise choices without the struggle.

Over 50,000 people have now used this program, and the satisfaction rate is 92%.  This means that over 9 out of 10 people are able to change their eating behaviors and get the slim body they deserve using her hypnosis sessions.

The Hypnosis Network, which publishes the medical hypnosis CD program of Dr. Temes, is willing to have you try the program for one year -- and even let you sample it for 28 days for F`R`E`E by just paying a small shipping fee.  Go to the following website to read the success stories and to avail yourself of this trial:

The best part about this program is that all you do is spend 15 relaxing minutes a day listening to the sessions -- and the changes start to happen automatically.

Most people notice a dramatic change within just 21 days!

You no longer have to use will power, determination or discipline because now, you can finally get rid of unwanted pounds easily with the help of medical hypnosis.  Go to
