Shouldn't your community have a women's history trail?
We encourage you to be part of this work. Some tips include:

• contact your public library and historical society and enlist their support,
• start with established historical sites in your community and reinterpret them to include women's history,
• read newspaper accounts of key events in history to find out who was involved locally,
• look up the records of active organizations for a list of officers and members,
• read geneaologies,
• peruse old census records for data on women and minorities,
• read old town histories that might include first-person reminiscences.
